Thunderbolt Ova FCS 2

Experience the sheer awesomeness of the Skindog Ova mid-length surfboard, a true visual and surfing marvel.

Ben Skinner, widely known as Skindog, brings his remarkable surfing skills, amiable personality, and a keen eye for functional and aesthetically pleasing board design to the forefront. The result? The Ova – a mid-length surfboard that exceeds expectations.

In the ever-evolving world of surfing, the modern mid-length board needs to check multiple boxes for the discerning surfer. Rest assured, the Ova does just that. It offers unparalleled paddle power to ensure a remarkable wave count in today's bustling lineups, coupled with smooth flow, glide, down-the-line speed, and, perhaps most crucially, the ability to execute turns from the board's midpoint.

The meticulously crafted design features include a hull entry that transitions into a single and then double concave, along with vee through the tail. This configuration facilitates early wave entry and rapid acceleration.

The 50/50 rails, resembling a Flatracker setup, extend from the nose and seamlessly blend into a sharper edge midway through the board. This unique design allows for agile turning without the need to be directly over the fins.

The Ova feels solid, striking the perfect balance between weight and stability. With a 6/4oz deck glassing, it not only performs exceptionally but also promises durability over time.

To unlock the full potential of the Ova mid-length, pair it with a 7" single fin and the outer fins from a medium thruster set. Tailor the setup to your weight or board size for optimal performance.

Elevate your surfing experience with the Skindog Ova – where style, functionality, and innovation converge.

Construction
Constructed with 'Thunderbolt Red,' a 100% hand layup Xeon Fibreglass Lamination, the OVA delivers competition weight, flex, and durability. The Fused Cell EPS Foam Blank, incorporating a Carbon Fibre Multi-Component Flex Control System, replaces a traditional wooden stringer, ensuring a consistent flex throughout the board's extended lifespan. The board features a 6 + 4oz fiberglass deck lamination with 6 + 2oz on the bottom, wrapped in a Core Shield PVC Shell for flexible protection to the EPS core.
