Firewire Hex Expander Surf Traction Pad

The Firewire Hex Expander Traction pad is the latest bang on surfboard essential from the mind of the GOAT, Kelly Slater himself. Each pack has nine separated pieces. Each traction piece in every 9X Expander Pack is created with ultrafine 2.5mm thick rectangle tread using BLOOM Foam. You can use any number of packs to track any shape in your quiver.

Designed to add back-foot traction to any fast n' wide fish surfboard like the Go Fish and Seaside or the CI Twin.

Rob along with Firewire have collaborated with BLOOM Foam to create a collection of traction pads for the modern surfer with an eye on environmental issues and sustainability.

BLOOM is a high performance flexible foam made from algae biomass which has been harvested from freshwater sources around the globe.

The process literally involves skimming "pond scum" from affected sources, solar drying, pulverizing it and then foaming and forming into tail pads!

This patented technology results in a lighter, more durable and cushioned tail pad and at the same time improves the water quality in waterways by reducing the suffocating algae and re-circulating fresh water back into the environment.

The Expander Pack has been designed to work as you need it, between front and back pad, or as a front pad, you choose!
